Navaratri occurs twice a year in a six-monthly sequence; these nine nights are especially auspicious for the purpose of sadhana. During this time Nature is at the juncture of seasons, there is an enhanced flow of vital and spiritual energies. This time period allows one to purify the body of toxic wastes it has accumulated. Further to release from the mind the negative patterns that have taken root in the consciousness. Through personal sadhana and getting together at the ashram chanting and havans, the participants cleanse, balance and refine themselves and return to the regular rhythm of mundane life with renewed vigor.
